Two of Duke’s 2013 recruits, SF Jabari Parker and SG Matt Jones, have been named to the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Game. Both men will be representing the West squad.
Parker, the 6’8, 220 lb forward from Chicago, is the No. 2 ranked recruit in the 2013 class and will be tasked with guarding Canadian small forward Andrew Wiggins, the No. 1 ranked recruit in the 2013 class. Parker boasts an impressive all-around game, exhibiting elite talent on both the wing and in the post, along with a heightened level of maturity and selflessness on and off the court.
Jones, a 6’4, 180 lb guard, brings a deadly shot to the game, with quite a few people, such as HighSchoolHoops.com‘s Aron Phillips and CityLeagueHoops.net, believing him to be the most dangerous shooter in the 2013 class. Overall, he is the 5th-ranked shooting guard in his class according to ESPN.com and the 10th-ranked guard according to Rivals.
The McDonald’s All-American game will showcase most of the top talents in the nation and will be played on April 3rd at 9:30pm (ET) on ESPN. The rest of the roster can be found here. Duke’s third recruit in the 2013 class, small forward Semi Ojeleye, was not selected to the game.
Both men will also be competing in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 13 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
