Hello! My name is Evan Stambaugh, and I am the brand new head honcho (technically a lead editor) of Big Duke Balls. I look forward to being the new lead editor for sure. Thanks to Mark and Michael at Fansided for allowing me to have this opportunity.
A little bit about me: I am actually 15 years old and am a freshman in high school. I’m not joking, at all. I’ve been a Duke fan for quite a long time, but not quite my whole life. When I started getting interested in sports (that’s when I was about seven years old), I was watching a college basketball game between Duke and some other team. I don’t know who that team was, quite frankly because I don’t remember, obviously, but J.J. Redick, Shelden Williams, and the rest of the team were humiliating whoever they were playing at the time. What impressed me the most was the significant number of three-pointers Redick and Sean Dockery were draining.
That’s when I started becoming a Duke fan.
I have been blogging since I was 10 years old and have blogged about different sports. When I was 10 and 11, I actually had a very popular sports blog that got me thousands upon thousands of visitors each month. It really was awesome, considering I was only 10 years old at the time.
Ever since then, though, I have written on various sports blogs, which were mainly about baseball and hockey. Right now, I have a general sports blog called The Sports Lion and a Detroit Red Wings blog called Red Wings Residence. You can read those, if you wish.
If you want to know more about me, I will have an about me page all set up for you guys at a later time. I hope to be an awesome lead editor for such an amazing blog!
Go Blue Devils!!!
